Rhiannon Giddens has been associated with some pretty phenomenal projects. She was of course the lead vocalist of the Carolina Chocolate Drops and had her place as co-songwriter and singer/banjo/fiddle player in The New Basement Tapes which put out some of my favorite songs ever. Giddens recently began playing simply under her own name and took the famous NPR Mountain Stage with her backing band. Listen here to the folk singer do her thing in a great 30 minute performance!
