Never in a million years would I have to realize that 50 Cent is finally broke. The anthem of my elementary school years, “In Da Club” will never be forgotten. The guy was a true pioneer in modern rap in the early to mid 2000’s, and everybody adored him for that. I can go on and on about how much his music turned up every house party that I was at, no matter the audience. But, when you are making it rain with fake Benjamin’s you have to realize that you hit rock bottom, and you need to liquidate your assets.
Growing up in a not-so-nuturing environment and making it to the big time as a recording artist in the rap business, blowing stacks isn’t the way you wanna end your career. Especially, if you’re looking towards the future and looking forward to a life without the expectation of breaking the news with a fresh new song every two weeks, you’re going to want to put them in a 401K and save for your baby mama’s kids’ college.
So I here I am raising a glass to you, Fiddy, burn all that fake useless cash that you have. Head to the recording studio with your head held high, get into the mindset and the swagger that you had not so long ago, when I was one of the many that adored you, and start whipping out Grammy-worthy songs. Your future child is depending on you.
