Texas “New Song” (thank you for this term Dave Van Ronk) troubadour Joe Pug went overseas recently to sit down with BBC interviewer Bob Harris to discuss and share some of his music. For those not in the know, Pug is a singer/songwriter with a very distinct playing style and voice. His fingerpicking is some of the best around, and his voice has a genuine roughness to it that is reminiscent of the old folk and bluesmen of the previous century.
