Unless you’ve been living under a rock (or just don’t listen to indie and alternative music) you’ve heard the music from Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. Their new album has seen some great mainstream radio play particularly with the hit single S.O.B. But some of you may remember a time before the big band, when the Night Sweats were maybe just something that happened to Rateliff at night. Let me take you back to when it was just Nathaniel Rateliff.
Even up to the beginning of this year, Rateliff was releasing solo material as well as nabbing himself a costarring role in the concert documentary Austin To Boston, a must watch for fans of indie folk that also have a tendency to over-romanticize the road, not that I’d know anything about that… Anyway, if you’ve ever wondered what Rateliff would sound like with a more stripped down sound or if you’re just a huge fan of The Night Sweats and you want to hear more of his voice, I have some great news for you.
