In honor of National Waffle Day we are going to show some love to the Vans classic Waffle sole. Did you know that in 1966 when the Van Doren Rubber Company was founded
they were originally made with a Diamond sole. People soon found out that Diamond soles would crack down the middle and ruin the shoe. Thats when in 1967 the Waffle sole was created, no matter what got caught in between the sole it didn’t break and that design is still in production today.
